Sharing Night

Sharing Night at CoLang offers a chance for you to share a 5 minute presentation about your language work!

Presentations must be kept to 5 minutes in duration (or shorter). The CoLang 2022 volunteers and Sharing Night MC will give presenters a signal when there is 1 minute remaining in their time slot. Presenters must submit their slides via email to the Sharing Night MC at least 24 hours in advance. 

The sign up form will be distributed shortly before CoLang starts. Once you sign up, our Sharing Night MC will send you an email asking for your presentation file. The deadline to sign up for Sharing Night is Monday, June 13th at 5:00 PM (MDT).

Please arrive early, as we will begin our fast-paced evening promptly at 7:00pm.

Thursday June 16

Star Story Night

Planetarium, Elouise Cobell Land and Culture Institute, downstairs in the Payne Family Native American Center

Join us for a demonstration and short star story. The Planetarium can accommodate 28 individuals per show. There will be 4-5 shows.

Quechua Movie Night

Kusisqa Waqashayku - "From Grief ans Joy We Sing"
This independent production (53 minutes), with viewing choice in three language (English, Spanish, and Quechua), was filmed and edited entirely in Q'eros and Cusco, Peru. The DVD includes a booklet with supplementary information in Spanish and English.

Natives4Linguistics networking mixer

Join members from the Natives4Linguistics Special Interest Group for an informal mixer. There will be an overview of the group's objectives and initiatives as well as a chance to network and learn how to become involved in the group.

Sharing Circle

The Sharing Circle is an opportunity for CoLang attendees to share their experiences with collaborative language work in the community and/or in collaboration with those outside the community.  We particularly welcome topics that address this year's theme for CoLang, Accountability and Reciprocity in Collaborative Language Work. 

Facilitators" Naatoosi Fish, Aspen Decker and Susan Penfield will monitor the discussion.
