Attending CoLang 2022

Costs

These are the final figures for costs of attending CoLang 2022. They will not change before registration opens in February. (Updated 12/31/21) 

Participants can register for (1) two weeks of intensive workshops (June 13-24) or (2) two weeks of intensive workshops plus a two-week-long practicum (June 13-July 8). Participants attending practica are expected to integrate the skills obtained from the preceding workshops. View our cancellation policy.

Registration:　

  • Option 1. Two weeks (workshops only): $950

The options above do not include housing or meal plans. See below for details.  

Note: Registering after the registration closes (April 15th) will incur an additional "late" fee (amount TBA).

Credit Option

Participants may opt to receive university credit for their participation in CoLang 2022.

  • 3 credits for workshops only
  • 6 credits for workshops and practica

To receive university credit, there is an additional transcript recording fee ($155/course - subject to change), which is not included in the registration fee. The credit recording fee will be payable to the UM Office of the Registrar on campus. Participants earning credit will be given a syllabus, and are required to complete the credit requirements, including perfect attendance and a report about the CoLang experience.

Housing

The cost of housing is not included in the registration fee. Participants may choose from the following options, or opt to make their own off-campus housing arrangements:

  • On-campus housing. Note: Dorm room reservations are subject to available space.
    • Two week session (13 nights):
      • Double dorm room: $403
      • Single dorm room: $520  
    • Four week session (27 nights):
      • Double dorm room: $837
      • Single dorm room: $1080

Meal Plan

The cost of meals is not included in the registration fee. On-campus meal plans provide access to UM's Food Zoo. The following meal plan purchase options are for weekdays only. Additional meals may be purchased (weekday and/or weekend meals) at the cash price.

  • Two week session: 
    • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Plan: $330
    • Lunch and Dinner Only Plan: $230
  • Four week session: 
    • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Plan: $660
    • Lunch and Dinner Only Plan: $460

Travel

Travel costs are not included in any of the above listed fees. Participants must make their own travel arrangements.

Other Information

  • Parking on campus is estimated to cost $3.50/day. A 5-day pass ($13) is also available for purchase. More information for visitor parking on the UM Transportation website. 
  • There is an airport in Missoula (MSO) about 15 minutes away from campus.
  • Public transportation by bus (Mountain Line) in Missoula is free.
  • There are several RV parks in the Missoula area. These reservations fill up very quickly, so book well in advance.
