The people we serve are adults with severe intellectual disabilities who have challenges communicating. MDSC has a staff of well-trained Direct Support Professionals who are there to help expand their skills and have a voice in their own self-determination.

Electronic Ballot Request System

Montana's Statewide Elections have various options for voters with disabilities or voters who need special assistance, including the new Electronic Ballot Request System (EBRS), available for state and federal elections beginning 30 days before election day and through noon the day before election day.

Immigration Law of Montana, P.C.

Immigration Law of Montana specializes in helping residents of Montana with immigration matters. Their services include helping with work visas, green cards, and assisting undocumented immigrants with legal troubles if they get detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The mission of the All Nations Health Center is to serve as a respectful gathering place, welcoming Native families from all Nations; develop a strong, supportive Native community by building collaborations and promoting healthy family activities; support Native families to identify opportunities and resources to thrive and be healthy; support Tribal traditions to maintain comfort and belonging at home and in the city; promote wellness by offering opportunities for emotional, mental, physical and spiritual healing.

Montana Human Rights Network, Immigrant Justice

This program area works to defend against anti-immigrant policy while also shifting the narrative about immigration by: holding community events that look at the myths and facts in our current debate about immigration; running and supporting "Know Your Rights" trainings for members of the immigrant community; coordinating a coalition of organizations to do legislative defense work when policies aim to criminalize, marginalize, and punish immigrants and their families; supporting community building and organizing work within the immigrant community that is driven by our affiliate group in Bozeman, the Gallatin Valley Human Rights Taskforce; and leading the effort to educate Montanans on Legislative Referendum 121, which would deny certain state services to people who cannot immediately prove they are US Citizens or "lawfully present."

YWCA

YWCA Missoula's Racial Justice Initiative is committed to being an educational community resource for people of color and white allies who are dedicated to addressing racism in our community. The YWCA provides trainings that invite community members to rethink race, history, and community. The training helps participants develop skills to identify structures and systems, understand the role of racism within historical trauma, increase proficiency in implicit and linguistic racism, and create inclusive spaces. Training is available in the Spring.

Child Family Services Network

Outpatient or partial hospitalization mental health treatment for youth (age 18 and under) with serious mental illness.

Dakota Place

Residential inpatient treatment for young adults, adults, and seniors with serious mental illness. Dakota Place also offers crisis care and addiction rehabilitation. 

HOPE

HOPE is a support group for suicide survivors and those affected by suicide.

A multi-setting mental health facility serving adults with serious mental illness and veterans.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Montana

NAMI Montana is the Montana chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI Montana supports, educates, and advocates for Montanans with severe mental illnesses and their families.

Tamarack Grief Resource Center strengthens and honors individuals, families and communities throughout their journey with grief.

The Wellness Institute of Montana

The Wellness Institute of Montana, a partnership for mind and body wellness, combines four thriving businesses into one full-service organization to better serve the community. Services include mental health recovery, clinical and psychiatric, lifestyle and functional medicine, and supported living programs.

Youth Dynamics

Youth Dynamics' therapy services include individual therapy for children and adolescents, family therapy with youth, family therapy without youth, group therapy, and crisis therapy.

The Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club provides youth with quality out-of-school time programming with the purpose of inspiring and guiding all young people to develop positive values and realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Child and Family Services

The Child and Family Services Division (CFSD) is a part of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. CFSD protects children who have been or are at substantial risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment.

Child Care Resources

Child Care Resources can help parents find child care that meets their family's needs. They administer the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship to help families with low income pay for child care. They offer high-quality classroom and online training for child care providers.

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program serving children ages 3 to 5 and their families. The mission of Child Start Inc. Head Start is to provide opportunities for education and growth of our children, families, staff, and our community in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Child Support Enforcement Division

CSED diligently pursues financial and medical support of children by establishing, enforcing, and increasing public awareness of parental obligations. Services include locating absent parents, establishing paternity, establishing financial and medical support orders, enforcing current and past-due child support, offering medical and spousal support, modifying child support orders.

Children's Special Health Services works to help children and families in Montana receive the healthcare and supportive services they need to live happy, healthy lives in their communities.

Healthy Montana Kids (HMK)

Healthy Montana Kids (HMK), Children's Health Insurance Plan is just one of many Montana Healthcare Programs offering a free or low-cost health insurance plan which provides coverage to eligible Montana children up to age 19.

Healthy Montana Teen Parent Program

Facilitating self-sufficiency, building parenting capacity, encouraging postsecondary education and workforce preparedness, and improving the healthy growth and development of children. Covered services include medical, dental, eyeglasses, and other related services.

The Parenting Place

The Parenting Place is a community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is the prevention of child abuse and neglect through strengthening families. Services include respite care, parenting classes, support for families affected by incarceration, and a home visitation program.

Youth Dynamics

Youth Dynamics provides family focused behavioral health treatment founded on the principles of an actively caring culture in which people can realize their full potential. Services include case management, a mentor program, substance abuse treatment, therapy services, equine therapy, respite care, caregiver support, supervised visits, and medication management. Youth Dynamics will travel to communities within 60 miles to provide services.

YWCA Planet Kids

YWCA Missoula's Planet Kids Supervised Visitation & Exchange Center offers a safe, child-friendly environment where court-ordered and voluntary visits between children and their non-residential parents can occur.

We work to debunk harmful myths about immigrants, and educate the public about the history of immigration in our state and how it has impacted our culture and way of life.

The MT GSA Network provides support and guidance for all clubs – from emerging GSAs to well-established groups seeking to take on a significant project. They have a compilation of local, statewide, and national resources, tools, and media catalogs for students, educators, and families.

Gay Men’s Task Force

The Task Force organizes retreats for men who are gay, bisexual, or have sex with men (MSM). We make recommendations about gay men’s health issues, conduct peer outreach, advocate for gay men’s health, and work with local health agencies and community-based organizations to help fulfill our mission.

Open Aid Alliance

Open Aid Alliance is dedicated to engaging and empowering hard-to-reach, underserved individuals by promoting harm reduction and compassionate care. OAA prevents HIV, hepatitis C and sexually transmitted infections through testing, education and outreach in western Montana.

The Western Montana Community Center

The Western Montana Community Center is an open, affirming environment for peoples of all sexual orientations and gender identity expressions. We empower our community through education, advocacy, and collaborative networking.
