ECOR Plant Laboratory & Greenhouse

The ECOR Plant Lab and Greenhouses are located at the University of Montana's Diettert Gardens Research Area.  The ECOR Plant Lab holds 8 growth chambers of three types, excellent for plant experiments controlling day length, light variables, temperature (including freeze tolerance), humidity, CO2 levels, watering regimes, and other factors. The lab space provides ample work space and equipment for wet and dry sample preparation and processing.

2 Low-temperature Growth Chambers (Percival Scientific LT-36VLC8)

low temperature growth chambers

These chambers are frequently used to measure cold hardiness, freeze tolerance, heat stress and exposure to a series of temperatures.

Key Features

  • Great for studies measuring cold hardiness, freeze tolerance, heat stress, and exposure to temperatures
  • Light Control (up to 300 µmol/m2/s)
  • Temperature Control (-10 to 44 degrees C)
  • Exterior observation doors
  • Programming of Environmental Controls (day/night or complex cycles)
