Interpreters
The role of interpreters
Interpreters facilitate communication between signed and spoken languages. American Sign Language (ASL) is a spacial-gestural language with grammar and syntax, unlike English.
Our interpreters
- The Office for Disability Equity (ODE)'s interpreters are certified through the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
- Our interpreters follow the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
