Stop! You must read the following before purchasing your permit.
UM Transportation & Parking Services wants to ensure you understand the following before buying a parking pass.
- Buying a parking pass does NOT guarantee that there will be an available spot for you.
- Most parking is at 90% capacity from around 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Finding an available parking spot on campus can be time-consuming and stressful. Plan ahead.
- Purchasing a parking pass is a privilege, not a right, and can be revoked at any time.
- Nearly 60% of all students and employees at UM live within 2 miles of campus, a leisurely bike ride, bus commute, or walk from your destination.
- Your student fee covers FREE bus services available each day during the semester. Four different routes run daily and help service areas including Lewis & Clark, Russell St/Wyoming, Downtown & Missoula College, and more.
- ASUM Transportation also offers bikes available for week, month, semester, or year-long rentals.
- The city bus is also free and there are three routes that drop off near campus each day.
- ASUM Transportation offers free trip consultations to learn how to commute without your car.
