MSW On-Campus Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are estimated at $17,500 for Montana residents and $43,200 for non-residents per year. Due to a reduced course load during their first-year, part-time students pay approximately half of the full time tuition and fee estimate for their first year and the above tuition for the following years.  This figure includes the University’s tuition and fees as well as the School of Social Work’s program fee and field education fee.

The Field Education fee supports the implementation and maintenance of several practicum-related activities including the field liaison model that enhances the connection between classroom and practicum experience for students, outside supervision for students, agency field instructor training, and field education administrative support.

The above figures are estimates. Each student is encouraged to contact Business Services and/or visit the Business Services Student Tuition and Fees website for more information regarding costs.

The School of Social Work offers several scholarships in addition to the financial aid that the University's Financial Aid department can offer. You can find more information on departmental scholarships here. Also, visit the UM Financial Aid Office for access to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application and other university aid.
