I have a Masters in Education in Risk & Prevention from Harvard Graduate School of Education; M. Ed Counselor Education from MSU-Northern; BA in Psychology from University of Montana

What is your current role at your organization?
I am currently the Director of Parent Community Outreach Program for Browning Public Schools

How did you come to work at your organization?
I graduated from Browning High School and always wanted to return to my hometown to work with the youth.

What do you appreciate most about supervising practicum students?
I enjoyed supervising my practicum student in our "we help each other" program because it was a reciprocal relationship that literally lived up to the program's name.

What does being a social worker mean to you?
I truly feel that social work is becoming more and more crucial to the work we do in supporting youth in a world that is rapidly changing.

How does your role as a social worker relate to your role as a supervisor?
These roles are interchangeable working in a rural community.

What is the most important thing you hope your practicum students take with them into their careers?
I hope that my practicum student learns empathy, self care, realistic expectations for influencing change, and hold on to hope through it all.

Keep your own family at the forefront. They are the ones you wake up to and tuck in at night.
