My Story

I am a native Missoulian and grew up exploring the beautiful and varied landscapes of Montana. Some of my favorite memories include camping in Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, canoeing on the Clark Fork and Bitterroot rivers, and nordic skiing in Pattee Canyon. My early connection to the outdoors inspired an enduring fascination with the natural world and motivated me to pursue a career in geosciences. After completing graduate degrees in London, Cambridge, and California, I am excited to once again be home in Missoula and to be part of the exceptional academic community at the University of Montana, my undergraduate alma mater.
