Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).  The REU program provides Native American undergraduate students with results-based science research experience.   Through 4 weeks of daily broad-based research experience, REU students will gain an understanding of academic and industrial research as well as experience in reporting scientific results to their home community and affirming their obligation to the community as future scientists. The ultimate goal of the program is for REU students to eventually return home and help their people through education as future faculty at Tribal Colleges and leaders in their community.  Students are paid a generous stipend, plus all of their travel, lodging, and meals expense are paid by the program.
