Hours

Financial Aid staff members are available to assist with inquiries via phone or in Aber Hall on the 5th floor.

The office is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Tuesdays, our hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

We have full staff available to help walk-ins. We can also schedule individual appointments, if requested.

Please note that the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records. When contacting us, do note share personally identifiable information (PII) such as Social Security numbers, student ID numbers, or financial information via non-secured email. The Graham Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) imposes additional requirements on the handling of financial information.

SECURE EMAILS

To ensure the security of your information when communicating electronically, we recommend encrypting your emails before sending them to the Financial Aid Office. You can encrypt non-UM emails such as gmail, yahoo, etc. using various email encryption tools or services available online. If you need assistance with encrypting your emails, please feel free to contact us for guidance.

Email your general questions to the Financial Aid Office at finaid@mso.umt.edu. We try to respond to all inquiries within two business days. Response times may be longer during the month preceding a term as that is peak processing time.
