Welcome to American Indian Student Services

Guiding Principle

American Indian Student Services is dedicated to Native American enrollment, achievement and success at the University of Montana. Through a "Family Education" approach, AISS supports Native American students and their families as they negotiate academic life and their transition to The University of Montana and the Missoula community. AISS provides advocacy on behalf of students with university faculty, staff and academic departments. AISS staff strives to provide services to Native American students and their families, which includes academic, social, domestic and cultural supports, while providing university personnel with important information and advice to assure better understanding and encouragement to the Native American students at The University of Montana.
