Welcome to the Office of American Indian Student Services

We are here to ensure Native students have a positive experience while attending the University of Montana. Our staff in American Indian Student Services (AISS) strive to create a welcoming and inviting environment for all the students we serve. AISS believes that we can be your home away from home!

We support Native students in their transition to college, whether a first-year freshman or a transfer student from one of the Tribal Colleges, we are here to ensure that students are assisted in ways that increase the likelihood of academic achievement and lifelong success!

AISS Services

AISS supportive services and programming includes peer tutoring/mentoring support, academic/culturally-based workshops, school/testing supplies, and a food pantry.

AISS is Located in the Payne Family Native American Center 113

AISS is also active in connecting Native students to on and off-campus services/programs that have been established through collaborative partnerships with various campus-based and Missoula community organizations.
