Bias Response Team (BRT)
About
The Bias Response Team (BRT) works toward making UM a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. This team consists of experts on campus who advocate and support students who experience or witness biased-related incidents.
Active Bystanders or Allies, including students, faculty, and staff who are aware of the incident, can notify any member of the BRT that a UM student has experienced bias-related incidents.
Bias is prejudice and implicit explanation against an individual or group based on the identity of an individual’s sense of safety, inclusion, and well-being.
Bias-related incidents are also referred to as identity-based harm.
