JOIN UM'S SUSTAINABILITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM and help implement sustainability practices in your role or office!

UM’s Sustainability Sentinels are people across campus brought together by their support for all things sustainability – climate action, resource conservation, a mindset of stewardship, and helping UM evolve into the most sustainable campus we can be. Join us if you want to learn more about sustainability topics, how to apply best practices to your work at UM, and if you want to build community around shared values.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Commitment: Just 5 hours a month, including three 90-minute training sessions on topics like zero-waste, purchasing and procurement, and food/dining in Feb-April (dates TBA)
  • Action: Bring eco-savvy back to your team, become the sustainability expert and advocate in your corner of UM, and receive support from Sustainability Office staff to apply ideas and best practices in your department.
  • Collaboration: Help shape the content of the workshops by bringing your questions and ideas about sustainability to the cohort.
