Personal Summary

Darcey (she/her) is a cis queer woman of European lineage, deeply committed to unlearning colonization practices while embracing an intersectional framework. Darcey holds an MSW from UM (2012), and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Private Practice, where she specializes in Perinatal Mental Health and Wildland Firefighter support. In addition, Darcey recently completed a year long certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and is a current Somatic Experiencing student. In practice, Darcey integrates neurobiology, mindfulness, somatic experiencing and the healing power of nature, in addition to exploring the ways in which systemic constructs impact lived experience. Darcey has previously worked as a counselor at a progressive private school, in the Emergency Department at Providence St. Patrick Hospital, with unhoused veterans within the VA system, and supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with the YWCA. She also spent several years working with families navigating grief as well as designing grief programming for military families. In addition to clinical work, Darcey is Co-Director of Adventure Mamas Initiative, a national non-profit organization centering maternal wellness by weaving together a web of community, connection, adventure, and education.
