Dr. Shayna Killam Awarded PGRN and Myriad Genetics Grant Funding

March 2023 -Dr. Shayna Killam was awarded funding through the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network (PGRN) and Myriad Genetics Grant to study the successes and pitfalls of pharmacogenetic testing implementation in rural, pediatric psychiatry.

Dr. Killam's project involves surveys evaluating the utilization and perspectives of the telehealth-driven pharmacogenetic testing program within SIHI.

The surveys are done following pharmacogenetic testing consultations between SIHI pharmacists, providers, and patients at Shodair Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Killam had the opportunity to present her research plan at the 2023 PGRN Annual Business Meeting.
