Here are some of our projects currently recruiting participants:

Montana Health Care Provider Knowledge and Screening Practices. This project aims to identify barriers healthcare providers experience regarding patients receiving eating disorder treatment in rural regions of Montana. This study is the first study in a series of studies seeking to improve access to ED treatment and weight acceptance in rural regions, such as rural Montana.

Identifying Barriers to Eating Disorder Treatment Access Across Rural Regions. This study, sponsored by the Center for Population Health Research, seeks to identify the geospatial barriers to eating disorder access to care. We are recruiting health care providers, adults with eating disorders, and adolescents with eating disorders and their families to participate in interviews about barriers to eating disorder care.

Family-Based Weight Stigma Reduction Treatment for Youth Eating Disorders: A Randomized Controlled Trial. This project will test the effectiveness and feasibility of a weight stigma reduction intervention within Family-Based Treatment for adolescents with EDs. Families will be randomized to receive either FBT only or FBT plus a weight stigma intervention.
