Effective management of citizen non-profit groups. Specifically, relationships between organizational membership, structure, funding sources and organizational strategies. Indicators and patterns of effective leadership.

Analysis of income maintenance, child and youth and employment policies and programs. Relationships of economic-social justice and environmental issues.

Defining "environmental activism," moving beyond confrontational approaches to more inclusive environmental movement.

Field of Study

Extensive experience in organizing, working with non-profit and environmental groups. Teaches environmental organizations, social policy, organizing, and non-profit management.
