Marlene and Arne Jacobsen Endowed Forestry Scholarship

Jacobsen family

Thanks to generous gifts from 1953 forestry alumnus Arne Jacobsen, his wife Marlene, and their family, we offer these special scholarships to W.A. Franke College of Forestry & Conservation students to cover expenses related to forestry field study programs. Arne initially established the forestry scholarship to help current students fund travel and field studies. He remembers that his mother had to cash out a life insurance policy to cover the $200 fee for his own senior forestry field trip. He and Marlene established the fund in 2000.
