COMMUTER DINING PLANS

Designed for UM students, faculty, and staff

Commuter dining plans are specifically designed for UM students, faculty, and staff who commute to campus every day. These plans are tailored to fit your busy schedule, providing a convenient and high quality meal in UM’s largest dining center! Opening Fall 2024, The Lodge Dining Center will feature seven micro-restaurants including flavors from around the world and, of course, some of your favorite local favorites. Please note that commuter dining plans are not substitutes for the residential dining plan requirement for students living on campus. If you reside in a residence hall, you are required to purchase a residential dining plan as part of your UM Housing contract. Sign up today and transform your dining experience at UM—where each meal is a chance to relax, refuel, and reconnect.

Commuter dining plans will be activated on August 19th.

Flexible Dining Options for Every Commuter

Starting at just $300 per academic year, commuter dining plans are available in four different tiers, ranging from 25 to 100 meals per semester. This flexibility lets you dine on campus during the week without the hassle of meal prep or the need to return home. Each plan is crafted to offer both convenience and value, ensuring you never have to worry about unused meals; simply pick the plan that best fits your schedule and dining habits, and enjoy stress-free dining throughout the year.

All commuter dining plans are valid for the academic year only, starting with the first day of classes in the fall semester and ending on the Saturday of finals week each spring semester. It's important to remember that any unused meals will be forfeited at the end of the academic year; meals do not roll over to the summer session or the next academic year.

UM Employee Payroll Deductions

For classified staff and faculty, we offer the convenience of purchasing your commuter dining plan through payroll deductions. Commuter plans range from 25 to 100 entry swipes, and deductions will be spread over a five-month period (10 biweekly payrolls), regardless of the number of swipes purchased., Deductions will begin the next payroll cycle following sign-up. Should you terminate employment with University of Montana, any scheduled pay period deductions will be taken from your final paycheck. Any remaining meals on your plan will be removed from your UM Griz Card. Depending on the amount paid and the number of meals used at the time of termination, UM Campus Dining will either refund any overpaid money or charge for anything due on your commuter dining plan via your university account.
