Timeline

In the Fall of 2008, the LMS Subcommittee of the Academic IT Committee took the first steps in this transition by conducting an environmental scan related to Learning Management Systems and formulating initial recommendations toward a comprehensive LMS strategy. 

The University will be transitioning from Blackboard to Moodle over the next twelve to eighteen months. We plan to do this in a systematic fashion, in which units of the campus will be migrated to the new system on a semester-by-semester basis, with training and support calibrated to match those unit migrations. Blackboard will continue to be available and supported through the entire transition.
