ORSP Listservs

Utilizing the listservs defined below will help ORSP send targeted emails about potential funding opportunities or grant information AND allows you to control your subscription status.

General Information

To ensure you get the most appropriate information, subscribe to the listservs below that best fit your needs.  It is anticipated that you will likely subscribe to at least two:  ORSP-GEN-INFO-L and another in your general area of academic interest/research as defined below.  You may subscribe/unsubscribe to listservs at any time by selecting the LISTSERV in which you are interested.  At this interface, you can establish a listserv password, login, then go to the Subscriber's Corner, under the Search Options and select Show All Lists.  Click on "Join" or "Leave" the appropriate list and follow the steps provided.

NOTE:  There will be occasions when an announcement may be sent to more than one listserv, such as notices of broad interest or limited submissions.

LISTSERVS AVAILABLE

ORSP-GEN-INFO-L

This listserv will be used as the primary dissemination vehicle for general information regarding research and sponsored programs, such as:

  • Upcoming events like OSP Professional Development Series information (Open forums, NCURA presentations, tailored discussions, etc.) or PI Training 
  • Limited submission grant announcements
  • Broad announcements that cover a multitude of research areas 

Research faculty, staff, departmental research administrators, chairs, directors, deans, and executive officers should subscribe to this listserv

ORSP-BIOMED-L

In addition to any opportunities specific to biomedical researchers, ORSP receives weekly an email from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) regarding Funding Opportunities and Notices that will be forwarded to the individuals subscribing to this listserv.  Such information may be appropriate to individuals interested in the broad academic/research areas of:

  • Biological Sciences
  • Chemistry
  • Pharmacy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Sociology

ORSP-SCIEDUC-L

Items specifically geared  to the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math) of science education will be sent to subscribers.  This may include researchers in the broad academic/research areas of:

  • Computer Science
  • Curriculum & Instruction
  • Education
  • Math

ORSP-SCIENCES-L

While the other listservs are designed as one-way communication for announcements, this interactive listserv allows for information sharing for those interested in social and behavioral science research.   

ORSP-DRA-L

Also an interactive listserv, this is geared for departmental and unit administrators who provide proposal and project support to faculty involved in sponsored activities.  Such individuals are identified in the profession as departmental research administrators (DRAs).
