Implementation and Assessment

In spring 2010, the Implementation Committee for the Academic Strategic Plan (ICASP) was created to guide implementation and assessment of the plan. In fall 2011, the committee's charge was broadened and the name appropriately changed to the University Strategic Directions Advocacy Committee (USDAC). The overall purpose of USDAC is to develop processes for assessing the level the engagement by each academic program with the University's Strategic Plan, UM 2020: Building a University for the Global Century. To develop relevant processes, USDAC includes two subcommittees:

Strategic Directions Engagement Subcommittee

The essential charge is to develop and implement a process to assess the degree of engagement of University programs with one or more elements of the University’s Strategic Issues:

• Partnering for Student Success
• Education for the Global Century
• Discovery and Creativity to Serve Montana and the World
• Dynamic Learning Environment

Programs of National Distinction Subcommittee

The essential charge is to develop a process to identify academic programs of national distinction.
