"Master Class"

Music Recital Hall

Please join us for a lecture and master class with Simon O’Dwyer and Maria Cullen O’Dwyer, Irish musicians, and authors of Prehistoric Music of Ireland. Simon and Maria have spent their professional lives studying, playing, and reconstructing ancient Irish musical instruments, specifically those from 4200 B.C. to 1000 A.D. The sounds of their beautiful music will drift through the Dennison Theatre as they explore this seminal period in this history of Ireland's rich musical tradition. To learn more about their work and hear samples of their music, visit their website Ancient Music Ireland.

Please note that instead of a traditional seminar, the O'Dwyers will be presenting a master music class the day before the lecture (Wednesday, September 18). As always, this program is open to the public, but space may be limited. For more information on attending, contact Professor Richard Drake at 406-243-2981.
