If you are planning to sing in a UM CHORAL ensemble this Fall semester (2012), you MUST fill out and submit the form at the bottom of this page.  All forms should be completed by Sunday, August 26th.  

(If you are NOT auditioning for a choir this semester, please disregard this message) 

 

All singers must sign up for an audition time.  Sign up sheets will be posted on my door (Music 209) beginning Monday August 20th.  

 

The auditions will be held on the following dates and times:

--Tuesday August 2,   1:00pm - 5:30pm

--Wednesday, August 22,  9:00am - 11:30am

--Monday, August 27,   8:00am - 8:30pm

--Tuesday, August 28,  8:00am - 8:00pm

 

The audition will consist of:

--Singing one verse or a portion of "My Country Tis of Thee"

--A basic tonal memory exercise (in which you will sing back the notes played on the piano)

--A sight singing example

 

There will be a CALLBACK Audition this year for the Chamber Chorale on Wednesday 2:10-3:00 pm.  I will send out an email on the evening of Tuesday August 28th with the callback list.

 

Failure to attend the callback audition will prevent you from being selected for the Chamber Chorale.
