Training and certification

You must have a NetID to gain access to the University of Monatan's Web space.  If you have forgotten your NetID, look it up at OneStop.  If you are not a student, faculty or staff and you need a NetID please see our Affiliate user process to get a NetID.

Any person who has access to update content or manage a website hosted on a UM server or the Content Management System must complete an annual training and certification process on the rights and responsibilities of web content contributors. If you request any service that requires access to the University's Web Space, you will automatically be sent to the training and certification program if you have not taken it or if a year has passed since you last took it..

Individuals must score 75 percent or higher on the exam in order to pass.  Once you have passed the Web Certification Exam and your sponsor (dean or department head) has approved your project, your request will automatically go to the appropriate web team person and you can track it at this link.
