The University of Montana has partnered with Microsoft's Live@edu to offer students an enhanced email system with added collaboration tools and document storage space. This new email system, UMConnect, will replace GrizMail, our existing student email system. During Fall semester 2009, students will have the option of transitioning to the new service. During January 2010 all students will have an email account on the new UMConnect server and the GrizMail server will be retired.
Outlook Live: Use of these Microsoft-provided student email, calendar, and contacts services is governed by a master "Terms of Use" agreement between The University of Montana and Microsoft Corporation. A copy of this agreement is available at UM Information Technology Office, Social Science room 126. All use of these services is subject to Montana University System policies and University of Montana policies, the University's Student Conduct Code, and applicable Montana and federal laws.
Additional Services: Use of other Microsoft-provided services, such as SkyDrive, Spaces, Photos, Office Life, etc., that are accessible through the email, calendar and contacts services, are governed by Microsoft's standard End User Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. In addition, please read Microsoft's Online Privacy Statement.
Sign up for your UMConnect account now. New accounts will be created and available approximately one week after you sign up.
Your Umontana email alias (first.last@umontana.edu) will automatically be redirected from your GrizMail account to your UMConnect account. GrizMail accounts will remain open until January. So while mail addressed to your Umontana alias will be delivered to your UMConnect account, you should continue to monitor your GrizMail. Learn how to view your GrizMail messages in UMConnect.
