The University of Montana

Craig Crawford

Alumni, Member of UMAA Board - BA, 1979; BA - Business Administration - Accounting

What are you doing now?

Partner, KPMG LLP; Partner-in-Charge of Professional Standards, National Office; New York, New York

Greatest Griz moment?

Watching my oldest daughter, Kelsey, graduate from the University.  She made both Susan and I very proud.

What is the biggest difference between the campus when you were a student and now?

Less green space now.  The cominbation of architecturally appropriate buildings and an ample dedication of green space makes the campus what it is - beautiful in all seasons and functional for students, faculty, administrators and visitors - while still maintaining a community feeling.  It is that community feeling that should never be lost.

What made you get involved with the Board of Directors?

I am very passionate about my commitment to The University of Montana.  I believe that I have an obligation to give back to UM in any way that I can.  My participation on the Alumni Association Board is one very important way for me to fulfill that obligation.

Why is giving of your time to UM important to you?

Time is a very precious commodity these days, and I believe that giving back to UM through the dedication of time is of the highest priority.  I feel that I have seen and done much in my professional career, and that I now have the opportunity to give back to an institution that was, and continues to be, instrumental in my personal and professional development.
