Referrals to other Dentists
At times referrals are given to students for dental care out
side of the Curry Health Center Dental Clinic. Often these referrals are to specialists for care such as:
- Orthodontics (Braces)
- Extensive Periodontal Care
- Dentures and removable partial dentures
- Extensive oral surgery
- Complex root canals
Referrals may also be made for students needing extensive work, students who are graduating, or for treatment over breaks when the Dental Clinic is closed.
Fees charged for dental work outside of the Curry Dental Clinic are the responsibility of the student.
Dental work is not covered under the UM student Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Plan.
