How do I become a MOLLI member and purchase a MOLLI membership?

MOLLI membership is a great way to support lifelong learning in your community and open the door to a new kind of classroom. To join MOLLI today, a non-refundable $20.00 annual membership may be purchased in the following ways:

  • Call the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905
  • Mail a completed Membership Form to:

     Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM (MOLLI)
     School of Extended & Lifelong Learning
     University of Montana
     32 Campus Drive
     Missoula, MT 59812

  • Visit the MOLLI office in person at the address above to purchase a membership in the Todd Building (adjacent to the University Center) at the University of Montana campus.
  • Pay for a membership using the online registration process.

Membership period is July 1 to June 30th of the following year. Membership is required to enroll in courses and attend special member events.

Now that I am a MOLLI member, how do I register for a course?

Registering for a MOLLI class is easy! Members may register for a course in the following ways:

  • Visit the MOLLI office at the address above to register in person at the Todd Building (adjacent to the University Center) at the University of Montana campus.

Is financial assistance available?


Financial assistance is available to ensure everyone +50 has the opportunity to engage in lifelong learning. Please contact the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905 to learn more about tuition waivers for courses.

How do I use my MOLLI membership to access UM's Mansfield Library?

MOLLI members are classified as “Montana Borrowers.”

Please direct any questions or concerns regarding the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library policies to 406.243.6866 or visit http://www.lib.umt.edu.

When are MOLLI courses offered?

MOLLI courses are typically offered for three 6-week terms during the fall, winter, and spring; each class session lasts for approximately 90 minutes a week and is predominantly held on either Thursdays or Fridays. Schedules may vary for special courses that fall outside the regular MOLLI term.

Where are MOLLI courses located?

MOLLI courses are predominantly held at the School of Extended & Lifelong Learning, Todd Building at the University of Montana campus; unless otherwise noted in the brochure and online registration course description.

$25 MOLLI Term Parking Pass

This parking pass allows you to park in both decal and pay-by-the-hour lots on the UM campus during the applicable MOLLI term. To purchase this pass, please call the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905, visit the MOLLI office in the Todd Building, or add a parking pass to your course registration form.


$12 MOLLI 6-Day Parking Pass

This parking pass allows you to park in both decal and pay-by-the-hour lots on the UM campus for 6 individual days. To purchase this pass, please call the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905, visit the MOLLI office in the Todd Building, or add a parking pass to your course registration form.


$3 1-Day Parking Pass

This parking pass is valid for decal parking on the UM campus only for one individual day. To purchase this pass, please call the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905 or contact the Office of Public Safety at the Univerity of Montana campus at 406.243.6131.


$1 Hourly-Pay Meter Permit

This parking permit is valid in pay-by-the-hour lots on the UM campus only. One may purchase a parking permit at the meter located near the corner of each applicable parking lot.  

How do I use the Park-N-Ride?

Does the Mountain Line bus stop at the Todd Building?


The Mountain Line bus does not stop directly outside the Todd Building. There is a stop at the corner of Arthur & University as well as on the northeast side of the University Center. Please verify your route and bus schedule information at www.mountainline.com.

How do I inquire about teaching a MOLLI course?


The MOLLI program aims to provide accessible and innovative learning environments for adults +50 from all backgrounds and levels of education. Our teachers are some of Montana’s best, including current and emeritus Univeristy of Montana faculty as well as professionals from the community. Our program offerings are academically focused in the areas of Fine Arts, Humanities, Current and Political Affairs, as well as Natural and Social Sciences. MOLLI courses are typically offered for three 6-week terms during the fall, winter, and spring; each class session lasts for approximately 90 minutes a week and is predominantly held on either Thursdays or Fridays. 

This is truly learning for learning’s sake – no exams, no grades – just fun!

What are the MOLLI office hours?

The MOLLI office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. It is located on the third floor of the Todd Building, adjacent to the University Center at the University of Montana campus. Please Note: The MOLLI office is not open on weekends or holidays.
