WHAT IS THE JOBS BILL
Governor Bullock's JOBS bill, Jobs and Opportunity by Building Schools, proposes to bond over $60 million to improve the infrastructure of Montana's education system. The Governor's plan will create over 2,500 jobs. It is estimated by administration officials the total economic impact of the JOBS bill is in excess of $300 million statewide. Governor Bullock claims that the bonding proposal comes at a time when the state can take advantage of historically low interest rates.
Missoula College is one of nine statewide building projects that would be funded by the JOBS bill. Passage of the JOBS Bill is a legislative Priority for the Montana Board of Regents.
