The University of Montana submitted an application for an Air Quality Permit on April 6, 2011 for the proposed biomass plant addition to the Missoula City-County Health Department. An Air Quality Permit is required prior to construction. The application is available for review at the Missoula County Health Department. Public review and comments regarding the application and the draft air quality permit will be accepted by the Missoula City-County Health Department.
Air dispersion modeling show the emissions from the proposed biomass plant to compliant with the ambient air quality standards for Missoula.
