NOTE: Java Plug-in 6 Update 13 is UM's selected install version for working with Banner. Users may be prompted to download newer versions of the Java Plug-in as they are released. Banner will function properly using Java 6 Update 13 OR higher (i.e.: Java 6 Update 14 or Java 6 Update 15), so users may download newer versions if they so choose.
Several Banner courses are offered each semester. The training schedule and registration process are available online by clicking on the "Register for Training" button below. New Banner Users - In order to obtain a Banner account you must complete the Banner Basics course.

Add-ons in Microsoft Internet Explorer add features to your web browser. However, some add-ons may cause Internet Explorer to quit unexpectedly, causing Banner to crash. A version of Shockwave Flash Object (version 10) has recently been reported as causing this behavior. If currently loaded in IE, users will need to disable it in order for Banner to work properly.
Follow these steps to disable this add-on:
Additional notes
There may be other add-ons that cause IE to unexpectedly quit, causing Banner to crash. This doesn't seem to be a consistent problem and the best way to conclude which add-ons may be causing the problem is to go through the Enabled add-ons list and disable each one individually. Also, other programs may need an add-on that has been disabled, so the user will need to re-enable the add-on for that program, and remember to disable it when attempting to use Banner.
