Jeanette Rankin Hall has been home to the UM library, law school and psychology department. It currently houses the Social Work, Enviornmental studies programs. Jeannette Rankin was a 1902 graduate of UM. She was a social worker and suffragist. Jeannette was the first woman elected to U.S. Congress in 1916 and was
re-elected in 1940. She was the only member of Congress to vote against the United State's entry into both world wars.
Accessible Entrance:
The accessible entrance to the building is located on the southwest corner. This entrance consists of a ramp that leads to the basement of the building. The
entrance door is automatic.
Elevator:
The elevator services all level of the building. The elevator is located directly ahead as one enters the west main accessible entrance.

Closest accessible parking is located behind the Liberal Arts building and in the parking between the Social Science and Fine Arts buildings.
